The new trailer
for Gangster Land (previously
titled In the Absence of Good Men), looks at
the bloody wars between the Italian and Irish mobs as Capone (Milo Gibson) and his right-hand man "Machine Gun" Jack McGurn (Sean Faris) battle George "Bugs" Moran
(Peter Facinelli). The war led to the famed St. Valentine’s Day Massacre on on Feb. 14, 1929, and saw seven men die in a machine gun attack thought to be ordered by Capone.
of Gangster Land also includes Jamie-Lynn
Sigler, who plays flapper dancer Lulu Rolfe, love interest to amateur boxer-turned-mobster McGurn, who is at the heart of the story.
Woodward Jr. is directing the film for his Status Media & Entertainment banner. Lauren de Normandie, James Cullen Bressack and Jarrett Furst are producing.
"Everyone can relate to this story in the sense that they all have family and they all know what it's like to have these family get-togethers, so I think it will be
fun for people to watch," Facinelli told UPI in a phone interview this week. "But, even more so, Glenn and John haven't done a movie together since [1988's] Dangerous Liaisons, so what
a treat to be able to watch the two of them on screen together and then you throw in Patrick Stewart with hair. ... The three of them is the biggest reason. It is a master class of just watching
these masters work. That and this wonderful script written by Damian equals a good time."
Writer-director Damian Harris, who is the son of the late film legend Richard Harris, said people seem "enthralled" and "mystified" by the fact the usually bald Stewart has a new look in his
"He grew it out, by the way," Facinelli said.
"He's bald by choice," Harris chimed in. "Nobody realizes he has a good head of hair."
"He's like the Rock," Facinelli added.
In the film -- which Harris describes as a "love letter to family" -- Facinelli plays Ethan, the free-spirited son of divorced movie stars Eve and Laurence, played by
Close and Malkovich.
The action unfolds as the entire Wilde clan gathers at Eve's Hamptons home on the weekend of her planned wedding to Stewart's author character, Harold. Rounding out
the ensemble are Minnie Driver, Jack Davenport, Grace Van Patten
and Noah Emmerich.
Facinelli said one of his favorite parts of the production was the big group scenes they shot when most of the cast was present.
"We had such a blast filming all night. It was really, really fun," the actor said, referring to part of the movie where everyone eats, drinks, dances and talks during
Eve and Harold's rehearsal dinner, all while Driver's character Priscilla sings.
"Even when we weren't shooting, everybody was kind of hanging out. We were always bonding when we were either on camera or off camera. ... I really like that," he
said, recalling how he and his co-stars also had a particularly memorable time shooting on a beach.
"I remember we had these little rooms somewhere and Patrick Stewart was just kind of like sitting on a little apple box in his room. He's like: 'Come on in! Have some
tea!' It was such a wonderful environment. It was great to work like that and see that. When people are there for the love of the project, it's a lot different than when they are there for a

"There is absolutely no call from my agent, text from my fiancée, or like on Instagram that's worth a life."
Peter Facinelli has an incredible Hollywood career, and his life at home is
even more robust. The 41-year-old actor is a doting dad to three young daughters, is madly in love with his fiancée Jaimie Alexander, and spends
lots of quality time with his parents who live in Long Island, New York.
The last thing he wants to do is jeopardize any of it–especially when it comes to those he loves most.
"I'm a family man. I'm also a multitasker," Peter says in the video below, giving us an inside look at his home life. "I have to
be if I want to get everything done and still be the kind of dad and son who can wake up early and make his kids breakfast every day."
He explains that technology–his phone, in particular–helps him "be a full-time son, a full-time dad, and a full-time actor."
However, when it comes to driving, he puts his phone where it can't distract him.
"There is absolutely no call from my agent, text from my fiancée, or like on Instagram that's worth a life," he explains.

New Trailer of CBS Supergirl - Peter Facinelli as Lord Maxwell
Peter Facinelli joins the host of Good Day LA1 to talk about his novel 'After The Red Rain' and 'Supergirl'
Twilight alum Peter
Facinelli is soaring into CBS' Supergirl.
He will play Maxwell Lord, a green tech billionaire who is fascinated with National City's newest citizen: Supergirl (Melissa Benoist).
He also has a friendly rivalry with Kara's boss Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart).
In comic book lore, Maxwell Lord has wavered between being a good guy and a bad guy. He helped The Justice League get together, hoping to profit from the use of metahumans.
Facinelli, who played the patriarch of the Cullen clan in the Twilight films, is
engaged to Blindspot star Jaimie
Alexander.Blindspot, like Supergirl,
is produced by Greg
Berlanti and Warner Bros. TV.
Facinelli made a surprise appearance during the SupergirlComic-Con panel
after the announcement.
The panel acknowledged that getting a female-driven superhero show off the ground has been something Hollywood has had trouble with. But showrunner Ali
Adler said that her protagonist being a woman was in some ways beside the point.
"Her gender doesn't really matter. She's a badass," Adler said.
Supergirl centers on
Superman's cousin Kara Zor-El, who comes to embrace her Kryptonian roots and become the hero she was destined to be. It's not easy, with her juggling her demanding boss Cat and her relationship
with her adoptive sister Alexandra (Chyler
Leigh), who knows her secret. During the pilot, she forms an easy alliance with the U.S. military, who have a section dedicated to extraterrestrial threats (naturally they view her with
suspicion) — and gets a little help along the way from Superman pal Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad

high praises for Michael Alan Nelson’s compelling action and complex characters, as well as with the conclusion to the story. As Anders states, “I found within the pages a first-rate action
comic that blended the very best of spy drama with intense political intrigue and edge of your seat action that made it one very hard one to put down….I found the conclusion to be rewarding,
entertaining, and excellent.” The entire review is available on Comic Bastards.
Gallows Hill will be shown at the Colombian Film Festival in New York City March 28 and 29 2014.
