The Onyx & Breezy Foundation was created to ensure that the memory of the founder's cherished pets will live on through the foundation's support of endeavors serving the needs of animals.
The Onyx & Breezy Foundation provides fundimg and support to:
-Spay and neuter programs
-Rescue of animals from kill shelters
-Food, medicine and supplies
-Medicine and equipment for military and police canines
-Equipment for medical facilities
-Puppy mill rescues and disaster relief
-Shelters, rescues, foster groups and sanctuaries
-Pets of individuals where medical hardship is present
-Other endevoars that benefit the welfare of animals
Alex's Lemonade Foundation
The girl Alexander “Alex” Scott was born on January 18th 1996, shortly before her first birthday she was diagnosed with cancer. When Alex was 4 years old, she told her parents she wanted to sell lemonade in front of their house. She gave the money to doctors to help them find a cure for cancer.
First time she sold lemonade she raised $2000, and she gave the money to the doctors at her hospital.Since Alex passed away in 2004 at the age of 8, these stands lives on in her spirit. In 1995 her parents founded the Alex Lemonade Foundation.
How Peter gets involved here, is that he travels around the US and appears on Alex Lemonade Stands to make people aware of kid’s cancer. He signs autographs and many appear to support him and Alex Lemonade Foundation. The money goes to research and better treatment for kid’s cancer area. These lemonade stand is held many times within a year, and Peter is a big part of it. Bedsides signing autographs for Alex Lemonade, he does a lot of advertising for the foundation on Twitter where he has a profile.
American Red Cross
Peter is a blood donor and he helps Red Cross this way, in the US you can donate blood every 8 weeks. 16th August 2009 when Peter was shooting “Eclipse” he took time to fly from Vancouver to Virginia. Peter did this to raise money for American Red Cross, and to spent time with his fans. After he had donated blood early in the morning, he spend more than 4 hours signing autographs and taking pictures with his fans. This took place in Pembroke Mall/ Virginia Beach, he stayed longer than planed, because he wanted to see the more than thousands
more fans still waiting in line.
The Whaleman Foundation
It´s an oceanic research organization, conservation, and production organization, dedicated to preserving and protecting dolphins, whales and their ocean habitat. Peter loves animals so he supports this organization, he can’t stand the way humans slaughter dolphins and whales, without any thought.
Clothes Off Our Backs
The Clothes off our backs foundation is a 501 c3 organization that hosts charity auctions showcasing today’s hottest celebrity attire. Items are put up for a bid to the public and the money goes to children charities. The organization was founded by Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm In The Middle, Raising The Bar) and Bradley Whitford (The West Wing, Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip). This organization has helped and improves the lives of many children around the world. Peter helps this organization by donating his clothes.
Christopher Reeve Foundation
The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation are dedicated to curing spinal cord injuries and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis.
Once Peter donated $10.000 and his friend Rob De Franco ran a marathon to raise money for this organization.
National Park Week
National Park Week is held in the USA. During this week Peter was in Grand Canyon, told awareness of preserving the many national parks in the US. Peter did this along with Energizer, and he told about their solar panel chargers to laptops and mobile phones. To give Peter's RV more energy, Energizer equipped it with solar panels, wich gave him 57% more energy. Now that Peter is an outdoor enthusiast and loves nature, he spends time cleaning up at the Grand Canyon.
